A visit to the Expo

Yesterday I hooked up with the Bouran Data guys for a tour around the Canadian Kating Expo. It was great to see all the folks I hadn't touched base with for the last year or so and to catch up on some of the gossip surrounding this year's political nonsense in the karting world. I had hoped to pick up some new/used bits for the kart, but nothing really caught my eye so I came home empty handed. Well, sort of. The Bouran clan actually picked up a tiny kids kart for the next generation to run some laps in this summer to get a feel for the driving. Young Mackenzie is looking forward to chasing her dad & Shelby around Mosport Karting Academy this summer when the track is quiet.

Canadian Karting Expo

Do you have everything you need for the upcoming karting season? If not, February 4th will see you heading to the Markham Fairgrounds for the Canadian Karting Expo, presented by Canadian Karting News

CKN has joined forces with the Mosport Kart Club to host what may be the biggest show yet. The Expo runs from 10 am to 3 pm and only costs $5 entry fee. Many kart manufacturers and retailers from Ontario and Quebec will be represented, along with a Kart Korral for used equipment being sold by individuals.

This is a perfect day for newcomers to learn more about karting & get some great deals on equipment and for experienced karters to catch up with friends!

Shelby's first driving school

Way back in the summer of 2003, Paul Hastings of the Mosport Kart Club ran a driving school just for Miss Shelby. In 2004 she competed in the full Novice class season.
